NATCM & NHSA Jointly Issue Recommended Catalog for TCM-Advantaged Diseases Payment by Disease

To the Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) competent authorities and medical security administrations of all provinces, autonomous regions, municipalities directly under the Central Government, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps:


To implement the spirit of documents including the Opinions of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the State Council on Promoting the Inheritance, Innovation and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Guiding Opinions of the National Healthcare Security Administration and the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Healthcare Security Supporting the Inheritance, Innovation and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine, and the Notice of the General Office of the National Healthcare Security Administration and the General Department of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine on Launching the Pilot Program of Payment by Disease for TCM-advantaged Diseases, and to further deepen the reform of healthcare security payment methods, select TCM-advantaged diseases, and advance the pilot program of payment by disease for such diseases, we hereby issue the Recommended Catalog of TCM-Advantaged Diseases Suitable for Payment by Disease.


Pilot regions shall, based on the recommended disease catalog and in light of local realities, appropriately formulate and adjust their disease catalogs in accordance with local conditions. Other regions may refer to this catalog for use.
